HOMECOMING will take you through a unique 3-part creative process to help you alchemize & bridge timelines, gain understanding of your Original Self, open a new level of meta intimacy and create beauty from that space. You choose the medium-writing, pottery, music, paint, collage, whatever calls, maybe all of it. By revisiting old movies, poetry, songs, dreams, stories, photographs and memories, we will use nostalgia as a door to unlocking personal soul archives and a portal to weaving freedom, something I am calling Soul Kintsugi. It is my intention by the end of our time together you will take home a new piece of creation woven through your own hands, heart, and voice.

Nostalgia can be translated as a homesickness or the pain that comes with longing to go home. The origin of its meaning comes from ancient greek, ‘nostos’ to return home and ‘algos’ meaning pain. Some aspects of nostalgia can include saudade, a Portuguese word that describes a wistful longing for someone or something that is often intangible, unreachable or maybe never existed in the first place. This unique ray of experience has been central to my journey, bringing a lot of expansion. In some moments, it has whisked me away into sadness that things are not right, that i am not right or even extremes that I could never be happy again like I “once was” whether that was relating to my life before motherhood or a vision of past life experiences. These states could be brought on by a dream, the way the light moves through trees, a smell, a vision, so many synesthestic expressions. Behind the illusion that the past was better than what is happening in the now, nostalgia is a herald that challenges us and asks “what is wrong with this present moment?” We only ever really have what is right in front of us.
